Mother Ignoring Kid Drowning In A Pool
An image macro titled “Mother Ignoring Kid Drowning In A Pool” depicts a lady picking up one child in a pool as another youngster behind her is fighting to swim. The mom appears to be ignoring the child who is drowning. The image of the family was initially shared on Reddit in 2018, and it later became popular as an object-labeling meme on the platform. In the year 2020, an additional panel was added to the image, and it depicted a skeleton that was submerged in water below the first image.
On April 11th, 2018, a Redditor submitted a photograph to r/pics with the comment "My cousins learning to swim. around the 1980s." The image included a mother and two children swimming together in a pool. During the course of two years, the post received more than 90 points and 86% of the upvote.
This meme is typically used to show comedic situations in which something significant has been forgotten or almost forgotten entirely, while all attention is instead focused on unrelated matters.
When YouTube, for instance, promotes low-effort videos that are 10 minutes long, a good video that is 8 minutes long is buried alive, and high-effort edited videos that are 2-4 minutes long are already skeletons at the bottom of the sea.
