Dexter and Angel Batista On a Computer

About
“Dexter and Angel Batista On a Computer” is an image macro built on a still from the TV series Dexter, where Dexter Morgan and Angel Batista sit on either side of a laptop and grin at the screen. A caption goes in a bar above the picture, usually starting with "How mfs look at you when..." or "me and bro when...", and the two of them stand in for whoever is about to show you something on their computer. It spread mostly on TikTok as slideshow posts.
Origin
The scene is from "Crocodile," the second episode of the first season of Dexter, which aired in the US on October 8th, 2006. The earliest known upload of the screenshot is an October 2021 post on /r/Dexter titled "I hope that we will see them together for one last time."
The first known meme came on January 11th, 2025, when TikToker @bigmanmahon posted it with the caption "me and bro if we had a job at the same place." It picked up over 1.7 million views in a month. The format took off in February 2025, with posts like @assshhzer0's "How mf's with a 0.3 GPA look at you when they find another unblocked game website," which also passed 1.7 million views in five days.
Meaning
The joke is in the smiles. Batista's smug half-grin and Dexter's eager one read as two people who've found something about you, or something cursed, and can't wait to show it off. Captions lean on that: your old YouTube videos, your house on Google Earth, embarrassing photos dropped in the group chat, or something much darker shown way too casually.
It's also used for duos, as in "me and bro," where the pair is proud of something they really shouldn't be. Some posts add a second slide with Dexter and Batista looking shocked at the same laptop for the moment things go wrong.
