“Jeremy Sleeping With Turkey Leg And Milk” (or just the Jeremy Sleeping meme) is a one-panel reaction image of Jeremy Johnson from Phineas and Ferb passed out on a couch, head thrown back and mouth wide open, with a turkey leg in one hand and a gallon of milk in the other. People put a caption above it about something boring or draining, and Jeremy is how they feel about it. It took off on X/Twitter and Instagram in early 2024.
Origin
The frame is from the Phineas and Ferb episode Canderemy, which aired in March 2011 during season 3. Candace shows up at Jeremy's house and finds him asleep, and his mom explains that he worked all day and night at the burger place, then came home, ate a whole turkey leg, drank a whole gallon of milk and crashed on the couch.
On February 14, 2024, the Instagram page @onlyballs_ posted the screenshot with the caption "Real," and it got over 43,000 likes in a month. Captioned versions spread on X over the next few weeks, and artists started redrawing the pose with other characters, like Susie from Deltarune and Ace from One Piece.
The meme got a second wind from Reddit. In April 2025 a user posted on r/phineasandferb that sending the picture in reply to their girlfriend's long, serious texts had ended the relationship. Their July 2026 follow-up, where the same picture helped start a new one, was reposted to r/BestofRedditorUpdates and went around again.
Meaning
Jeremy stands for being totally done. The caption sets up the thing that wore you out, like a shift at work, a chore, or a huge meal, and the picture is the result. It also gets used as a reply to a long message, meaning roughly "too long, fell asleep."
Most of the humor comes from how small the trigger is compared to how wrecked Jeremy looks. The turkey leg and the jug of milk make it read as a very specific kind of exhaustion: full, tired and out cold.
